Jac Grady is a New York based vocal coach and performer. Refusing to accept that she had to "pick a genre" she has used her own musical curiosity and struggles to learn the proper techniques for many different styles of singing including, musical theatre, pop, rock, country, bluegrass, folk, choral, sacred and classical.

She had the privilege to work with teachers who led her down the road of vocal damage, it was the process of healing and learning the science behind vocal technique that ignited her fire to teach and ensure she'd do all she could to help other singers understand their voices- how they work, how to use them and how to avoid forming habits that would damage their voices or limit their abilities.

She has extensive experience working in education and has been a teacher, both classroom and private for nearly ten years. She holds a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Sam Houston State University. Continuing education includes Somatic Voicework the Lovetri Method and The Esper Studio Two Year professional acting program. More information on the teaching techniques she uses can be found here.

Collaborations as a performer have included performing alongside Tony Award Winner Ben Vereen, Grammy Award Winners Chaka Khan and Faith Esham and many other notable artists. She regularly works as a teacher and coach for studio musicians and Broadway professionals as well as children, teens and adults who are just starting out.

She is wildly passionate about the development of her students both professionally and personally, helping them achieve their dreams and feel confident in their abilities is what makes Jac feel the most alive.
