Build a voice you understand—and can rely on.
You may be preparing for a Broadway callback, building the skills to pursue a performing-arts high school, or beginning with a lifetime of being told that you are “tone-deaf” or simply can’t sing.
These are very different starting points—but the work begins the same way: understanding what your voice is doing, what needs to change and how to make that change repeatable.
Voice lessons shouldn’t leave you dependent on someone else’s ear or waiting for the right sound to happen by accident. I give you tools tailored to your voice, your learning style and your goals, then apply them directly to the music you want or need to sing.
You do not need professional ambitions or years of previous training. You only need a love of singing, curiosity, commitment and a willingness to learn. Everyone deserves the joy of singing beautifully—and the confidence that comes from knowing how.
I’m a New York City voice teacher and vocologist with more than fifteen years of teaching experience, a BFA in Musical Theatre, advanced Somatic Voicework™ training and two years of professional acting training at the William Esper Studio.
I combine voice science, contemporary vocal technique, musicianship and acting so that you don’t just make a better sound in the lesson—you understand how you made it and can find it again in an audition, rehearsal, performance or practice room.
My students have performed on Broadway, Off-Broadway, on national tours and in regional theatre, signed with record labels, earned top NYSSMA and NATS results, and been accepted to competitive programs including NYU Tisch, the University of Michigan, Pace, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, LaGuardia, Talent Unlimited and Frank Sinatra School of the Arts.
Why Choose Me?
Personalized Technique for Maximum Results
Working with a competent vocal technician is the most effective and fast way to make significant changes and reach your goals. A singer needs a trained set of ears to listen, give useful, practical feedback and formulate a clear plan for practicing and developing vocal abilities. Practice doesn't make perfect; practice makes permanent. If you are consistently training your body and brain to sing in a tense, forceful, or undesirable way, you will only get tense, forceful and undesirable results. The right technique will make all the difference.
With my approach, you won’t just “sing better”—you’ll sing smarter. I focus on how the voice works, so you can use it to fully express yourself with freedom and ease. No more straining, no more vocal limitations.
My methods, rooted in voice science, combine solid vocal training with tailored exercises to improve your range, stamina, musicianship, and expressiveness. Most importantly, I give you the tools you need to continue growing long after your lessons end.
Technique, Like Personality, Is Unique to You
I don’t offer a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you’re performing in front of a live audience as a career or singing for the joy of it, we all have our natural strengths—and areas we can improve. My goal is to help you own both. I expose my students to a variety of tools and techniques so that you can explore your creative process and build your voice at your own pace, in a way that feels right for you.
My primary focus is to help you understand how the voice works so that you can use your voice for full, free expression of emotion while singing. Voice lessons will help you develop increased range, stamina, musicianship, expressiveness, and confidence.
Talent = good physical coordination and knowledge of music and performance; it is a skill that can be developed or achieved.
Who I Work Best With
Working and Aspiring Musical-Theatre Performers
Build a voice that remains reliable when the pressure rises. We can work on sustainable belt and mix, range, stamina, stylistic versatility, repertoire, audition cuts, callback preparation and acting the song—while identifying exactly why something works sometimes and disappears at others.
Middle- and High-School Singers
Young singers need more than preparation for one audition or school musical. I help students build healthy, age-appropriate technique, musicianship, confidence, stylistic versatility and independent practice skills that can grow with them through performing-arts high-school auditions, NYSSMA and NATS, college applications and professional opportunities.
Adults Who Love To Sing, or Who Have Been Told They “Can’t Sing”
Have you always wanted to sing but been told you’re “tone-deaf”—or do you maybe just wish your voice sounded a little better? Most people who have been labeled “tone-deaf” were never given the time or instruction to develop the motor skill of matching pitch or taught the individual skills beneath singing. Pitch matching, rhythm, vocal coordination and musicianship can all be learned. If you are ready to put in the work, I will give you a clear path forward. Together, we’ll replace years of guessing with real, repeatable skills—in a fun, positive and supportive environment.
Singing is a basic human experience—not a privilege reserved for people who were identified as talented early or intend to make it their profession. Everyone can learn to sing—and sing beautifully.
My students have an increased understanding of their voice and a plan for reaching their goals from day one. See what they have to say here.
Let’s talk about your singing.
Tell me a little about your experience, what you love to sing and what you would like to work toward. You do not need to know exactly what is happening with your voice or what kind of training you need—that is part of my job.
